Fred has over 40 years experience directly behind the camera, shooting commercials, documentaries, features and music videos all over the world, and in dozens of formats. But it’s his strong background in retail advertising—shooting and producing numerous retail campaigns for Wal-Mart stores since 1980—that has proven to be one of the most valuable assets to our DRTV clients.
Bill has always been deeply involved in strategy/business planning for major advertising campaigns at some of the top agencies in world, including J. Walter Thompson, DDB, Leo Burnett (as VP Regional Director, Asia Pacific Region based in Hong Kong) and TBWA Chiat/Day (President STL office and U.S. Board member.) His clients range from Miller Brewing, Philip Morris, Nestle, Purina, and Heinz to Hyatt Hotels and KFC, in the areas of retail and services business to pure new product and company start-ups.
Bringing over 30 years of advertising experience, Bill enjoys helping clients launch new products and services and has found that “Brand Response” advertising brings together all of the tools of traditional advertising and the new world of digital, with the real time feedback of DRTV. “It was always hard to tell a compelling story with a 30 second spot. It’s great for building brand awareness but we can now use both short form and long form formats to work at both creating awareness and more importantly, start the critical dialogue with consumers about how a product or service can enhance their lives”.
Steve is an experienced and talented writer/director who understands client needs and objectives and skillfully translates them into compelling and results-driven DR campaigns. Bringing the experience of owning his own production company for many years, Steve brings a creative flair and energy to the Paddock Team that translates into successful campaigns for our clients.
Craig has 25 years of experience on both sides of the camera. He’s been in charge of post-production for literally hundreds of successful direct response campaigns as well as spokesperson or voice over announcer for scores of successful DR products.
Like his father Fred, Troy grew up in the business, learning the basic mechanics and subtle nuances of lighting design from his grandfather, Cinematographer, Charles Paddock. Over time, Troy has carved out his own unique style of lighting design. With his efficient use of equipment and crew, Troy has increased the capabilities of our shooting team to make it unequaled in DRTV production.
Brian edits on the Paddock Avid Media Composure Nitris DX. He has been editing since 1996. Brian’s editing career began with DRTV. He brings years of editing experience in electronic retailing to our client’s commercials.
